Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of South Korea

Today, November 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, engaged in a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Seok-Yol. This was reported by the President's press service.

It was stated that the current issues regarding the further development of friendship and the special strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and South Korea, as well as the expansion of multilateral cooperation, were discussed during the conversation.

The importance of maintaining an active dialogue and fostering exchanges in various cooperation formats was emphasized. In particular, there was expressed interest in expediting cooperation projects involving leading companies and establishing a new partnership program with South Korean banking and financial institutions.

During the dialogue, an agreement was reached to hold a meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Committee by the end of this year.

Special attention was also given to the implementation of agreements reached during the leaders' meeting in September of this year in New York City within the framework of the UN General Assembly.

Additionally, the Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea reviewed the plan for upcoming high-level events.
