Shavkat Mirziyoyev concludes visit to Russia

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded his working visit to the Russian Federation on June 6, the presidential press service reported.
As part of the events in St. Petersburg, the head of state held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 4.
The leaders took part in a ceremony marking the start of construction of Uzbekistan’s first integrated nuclear power plant.
The President also attended events of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and delivered a speech at its plenary session.
After completing the visit program, the President departed for Tashkent. At Pulkovo International Airport, the distinguished guest was seen off by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and other officials.
Earlier, on June 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that Russia is not merely a regional neighbor for Uzbekistan, but a time-tested strategic partner and ally.
