Shavkat Mirziyoyev takes part in the election with his family

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the candidate of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, visited the 59th polling station in Tashkent today, July 9, and voted in the election.

It is known that according to the results of the referendum held on April 30 of this year, the new version of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted. In it, legal, secular and social principles were further strengthened, and the obligations of the state in this regard increased. The updated Constitution set new political, socio-economic tasks for the state power.

Therefore, in accordance with Article 128 of the Constitution, the head of state appealed to our people to hold an early presidential election. This initiative was supported by chambers of the Oliy Majlis, political parties and public activists.

The Central Election Commission registered candidates from 4 political parties. 14 electoral districts and 10,784 polling stations were established. Equal and free conditions were created for all candidates participating in the election.

The presidential election is an important political event affecting the present and future of our country and the well-being of our people. Citizens feel this deeply and actively participate in the election.

A total of 797 international observers from 47 countries and 15 prestigious international organizations are directly monitoring this process, and the mass media is covering it widely.
