Owners of private estates can now pay taxes and have their work experience recognized. This provision was included in a law signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on June 16.

Under the amendments and additions to the Tax Code, individuals who own land and are engaged in activities such as personal farming, greenhouse cultivation, poultry and rabbit breeding, beekeeping, fishing, horticulture, lemon cultivation, or flower growing, as well as their family members, can choose to pay social taxes. This will enable them to have their work experience calculated, regardless of the size of the land or the number of animals and poultry they own.

Previously, it was only possible to pay social taxes if the land size was at least 0.04 hectares or if there were 50 head of cattle or poultry. As a result, the requirements regarding land size and the number of animals have been removed from the “On Real Estate” Law.
