Prosecution of entrepreneurs who violate trade rules may be cancelled 

In Uzbekistan, it is planned to reduce liability for violation of trade rules.  The bill on the transfer of criminal responsibility for violation of trade or service rules by business entities to administrative jurisdiction was discussed. 

The project is planned to abolish criminal liability for violation of trade and service regulations. 

At the same time, it is proposed to establish administrative liability for violation of trade and service rules in a very large amount (500 times the base calculation amount). 

A fine in the following amounts is envisaged as a punishment: 

to citizens - 200 times of BCA; 
to officials - 300 times of BCA. 

It should be recalled that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in his open dialogue with entrepreneurs in August 2022 that there will be several changes in the issue of controlling the activities of entrepreneurs and holding them accountable.
