Sardar Umurzakov is appointed the head of the Presidential Administration

26967Following a decree from the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardar Uktamovich Umurzakov was appointed head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Affairs - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade has been relieved of his post.
Sardor Umurzakov was born on 23 November 1977 in Tashkent. He graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics (bachelor’s degree) and Reading university in the United Kingdom (master’s degree).
In 2007, Umurzakov worked as Deputy Chief of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, First Deputy, and Head of the Tashkent City Treasury Department.
From 2014 to 2017 he was an advisor to the chairman of the board of the association “Uzbekcharmpoyabzali”, and from 2017-2018 he was the deputy chairman. After the association was reorganized and transformed into “Uzcharmsanoat”, he headed it from 2018-2019.
On 28 January 2019, he was appointed Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.
It should be remembered that since 2018 Zainilobidin Nizomiddinov has been working as chairman of the Presidential Administration. On 8 July 1995, he resigned from his post for health reasons and was elected first deputy chairman of the council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.
