Facilities manager threatens teacher with knife at Samarkand kindergarten

A video circulating on social media shows the facilities manager at the 39th state preschool educational institution in Samarkand allegedly threatening staff members with a knife. The Samarkand Regional Department of Preschool and School Education has provided a response to the incident.

The incident, which occurred in September 2024, involved a quarrel between the facilities manager and a teacher. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities resulted from the altercation.

Following the incident, the employment contract with the facilities manager at the 39th preschool institution was terminated. Both the director and the teacher involved have faced punitive actions in accordance with the law.

It is also worth recalling that earlier this year, a teacher at a family-run private preschool in Nurafshan, Tashkent region, was dismissed for physically abusing children.
