5016In Samarkand, the driver and passenger of a "Jiguli" car found carrying heroin were detained. This was reported by the Regional Customs Department.
A rapid operation conducted in Samarkand city by the anti-smuggling department of the Samarkand Regional Customs Department, the regional Safety Service of the State, and DIA led to the stopping of the moving "Jiguli" car.
During the search, in the presence of the driver and passenger, 358.84 grams of heroin were discovered in a cellophane bag wrapped with tape on the back seat of the vehicle. The drugs were confiscated accordingly.
"Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway," the report stated.
