Driver of “Jiguli” died in a collision with a truck in Samarkand

A tragic accident occurred in the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region, resulting in the death of the driver of a "Jiguli" car. The incident was reported by the regional Road Traffic Safety press service.
The collision took place on October 4 around 11:20 p.m. on the 4R46 highway, which runs through the Iskandariy neighborhood of the district. According to reports, the driver of a "GAZ53" truck caused the accident by failing to yield to the "VAZ2103" coming from a place where turns were prohibited.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the "Jiguli" suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
An investigation is currently underway regarding the circumstances of the accident.
For reference, there was a previous incident in Tashkent where a "Jiguli" caught fire while the driver was inside.
