Individuals who refused to pay for their food and beverages were apprehended by authorities in Samarkand

In the city of Kattaqorgon, within the Samarkand region, legal action was taken against those who resisted law enforcement officials after failing to pay for their meals. This information was disclosed by the regional DIA.
Reportedly, on May 11 of this year, the DIA received notification of a disturbance occurring at a canteen situated in the Zarafshan neighborhood of Kattaqorgon city. Upon dispatching three preventative inspectors to the scene, it was revealed that four individuals, heavily intoxicated, were engaged in a physical altercation with the restaurant proprietors due to non-payment for their consumed items.
Subsequently, when one of the offenders verbally abused the female owner of the establishment and made a threatening gesture towards her, DIA officers intervened to defuse the situation. However, the individual disregarded the lawful instructions of the inspectors, insulted them, attempted to flee, and intentionally collided with the DIA officer's Cobalt vehicle.
Currently, the suspects have been apprehended in this incident under Article 219 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Kattaqorgon city prosecutor's office, with ongoing investigative procedures, according to the report.
It's worth noting that on May 12, a criminal case was initiated against the driver of a BYD vehicle who struck a Road Patrol Service employee in Tashkent.
