7750On 10-11 November of this year, a meeting of leaders of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in Samarkand.
At the event chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Chairman of the People's Consultation of the National Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Republic of Turkey Rajab Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadir Japarov and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban will participate.
Also, the heads of the International Turkish Cultural Organization (TURKSOY), the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), the International Turkish Academy, the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation, and the secretariat of this multilateral structure are scheduled to participate.
The agenda of the summit includes the issues of further development of mutually beneficial and multifaceted cooperation in economy, trade, investment, transport, innovation, ecology, tourism, cultural-humanitarian and other fields, and improvement of the Organization's activities. This fully corresponds to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In the end, it is planned to adopt the Samarkand Declaration and other important decisions and documents aimed at expanding practical cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
