12673In the Samarkand region, a criminal case was initiated against the individuals who assaulted the prevention inspector, leading to their arrest. This was reported by the regional Internal Affairs Department.
The incident occurred on July 23 at 17:30. A resident of the Siyob quarter in Samarkand called the emergency number "102" and reported that unknown individuals had broken the windows of his Nexia-3 car in front of the multi-story buildings on Zarafshon Street, Navroz quarter, Oqdaryo district, assaulted him and injured him.
In response to the call, Senior Lieutenant Otkir Burqiyev, an inspector of the internal affairs department of the Okdarya district, arrived at the scene and took the quarreling individuals to the service room located in the Navroz neighborhood. While speaking to the reporting citizen to clarify the situation, the offenders—a 35-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 47-year-old woman—became agitated, demanding, "Why don't you let us into the service room first? We also called 102."
When the inspector stated that he would handle the matter in turn and would not be interrupted, they insulted him and left the room. Upon being told that they needed to provide written statements about the incident, the woman grabbed the inspector's clothes and insulted him. Her brother and son then assaulted the prevention inspector, causing injuries to various parts of his body.
Following this, all three individuals left the scene in their car.
Reports indicate that the Oqdaryo district prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case regarding this situation, and all three suspects have been detained in accordance with procedural order.
