7193Citizens involved in selling narcotics were arrested in two districts of the Samarkand region, according to the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
Reports indicate that police received information that two individuals residing in the Jomboy and Urgut districts were selling hashish at prices ranging from 135,000 to 140,000 soums per gram. Following this, on August 23 of this year, a swift operation was conducted by the regional administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
During the operation, two individuals from the Jomboy and Urgut districts were apprehended with physical evidence while attempting to sell 700 grams of narcotics to an undercover buyer for $10,000.
A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
It should be noted that earlier in Tashkent, individuals were arrested for selling powerful drugs and narcotics. Additionally, a Kyrgyz drug courier was caught while attempting to transport a large batch of drugs into Uzbekistan.
