A 28-year-old man fatally stabbed his 23-year-old cousin during a dispute in the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region. This incident was reported by the Information Service of the Regional Internal Affairs Department.

The incident occurred on August 1 of this year at 16:00 in the "Chortut" neighborhood of the Pastdargom district. The perpetrator, identified as 28-year-old N.O., killed his 23-year-old cousin, S.M., using a kitchen knife amidst the disagreement.

The investigation into this tragic incident was meticulously conducted with the involvement of the head of the Regional Internal Affairs Department, Rahmat Mamatov. The meeting was attended by representatives from the district administration, official organizations, community leaders, and local residents.

"It is imperative that we do not remain indifferent to the values, knowledge, and perspectives of our youth, as well as their role in society and, most importantly, their future. The recent surge in youth-related crimes prompts us to analyze its root causes, revealing that many of them stem from the lack of constructive engagement and educational opportunities for young individuals," stated the department head.

It's worth mentioning that there had been a prior report of a 25-year-old man fatally stabbing his brother over a disagreement in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent. Similarly, in the Zarbdar district of the Jizzakh region, a younger brother engaged in a quarrel with his elder sibling, resulting in a fatal outcome.
