In Samarkand’s Bulungur district, a tragic accident occurred involving a 7th-grade student who was driving a "Jiguli" car that veered off the road into a ditch. This was confirmed by the regional traffic safety department.

The incident happened on October 16 in the Aktash neighborhood when the young driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn in a roadside ditch. The student was hospitalized with severe injuries and, unfortunately, succumbed to them on October 17.

Authorities have opened a criminal case, and a preliminary investigation is underway.

Earlier, another tragic accident took place in Tashkent on Bunyodkor Avenue in the Chilanzor district. A driver of a Lacetti, born in 1985, struck two pedestrians who were crossing the road at an unmarked area, subsequently losing control and colliding with a tree. Both pedestrians, S.K. (born 1953) and K.S. (born 1960), died at the scene, as did the driver.
