Sentence imposed on “Saidaziz Medgorodok” was left unchanged

In August of this year, Saidaziz Saidaliyev, known as “Saidaziz Medgorodok,” was sentenced to 20 years in prison by a court verdict. The defendant filed an appeal against the verdict, and today, November 27, the appeals court of the Tashkent City Court considered the verdict in an open court session and left it unchanged. QALAMPIR.UZ got acquainted with the court ruling.

“The parties dissatisfied with the verdict have the right to file a complaint or protest through the court that issued the verdict to the Tashkent City Court’s criminal panel in accordance with Article 510 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the court ruling says.

For your information, by the verdict of the Yunusabad District Court on criminal cases dated August 5, Saidaziz Saidaliyev was found guilty under the following articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and sentenced to serve the sentence (20 years in prison) in a general regime colony:

- Article 242 (Organization of a criminal organization);
- Article 243 (Legalization of proceeds from criminal activity);
- Article 165 (Extortion) Part 3, paragraphs “a” and “v”;
- Article 277 (Hooliganism);
- Article 211 (Bribery).
