Saida Mirziyoyeva holds talks with US ambassador in Tashkent

On February 12, Saida Mirziyoyeva, the eldest daughter of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Assistant to the President, held a meeting with US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick. She shared this update on her Telegram channel.

During the discussion, both parties focused on developing mutually beneficial cooperation with the new US administration, considering the rapidly changing global landscape.

It is noteworthy that on November 6, 2024, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. Later, on January 21, he sent a congratulatory message on Trump’s official inauguration and invited him to visit Uzbekistan.

“We also exchanged views on creating opportunities for women, improving the education sector, and strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations,” Mirziyoyeva wrote.

Earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Toivo Klaar, the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan. During that meeting, they discussed preparations for the upcoming "European Union - Central Asia" summit, which is scheduled to take place in Samarkand in April this year.
