On June 9, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan and eldest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with Eric Meyer, Acting Director of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs and Acting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs. The meeting was reported by Mirziyoyeva on her official Telegram channel.

“Today, we had a meaningful and sincere meeting with Eric Meyer. We discussed the main areas of our bilateral cooperation,” Mirziyoyeva wrote.

According to Mirziyoyeva, particular attention was devoted to expanding exchanges in the fields of education and culture, including plans to strengthen collaboration with American universities.

The meeting also addressed the development of trade and economic ties, as well as initiatives to support women in Uzbekistan.

“We discussed the work being done in Uzbekistan in this regard—programs for women entrepreneurs and steps to ensure transparency in the provision of financial resources,” she noted.

Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude to U.S. partners for their ongoing support and commitment to open dialogue.

“We are confident that there are still many results to be achieved together,” she added.

It is worth noting that earlier this month, following a visit to Moscow by the Uzbek delegation, Saida Mirziyoyeva also held a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
