On May 29, at the conclusion of the Uzbek delegation’s visit to Moscow, Saida Mirziyoyeva—the eldest daughter of the President of Uzbekistan and Presidential Assistant—held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin. She shared details of the meeting on her official social media page.
“Special attention was paid to key areas of cooperation, including trade, investment, labor migration, and the training of highly qualified personnel,” Mirziyoyeva wrote.
She noted that trade volume between the two countries has grown, and that joint projects, particularly in the industrial and energy sectors, are actively being developed. The sides also discussed the evolving migration procedures, improvements in patent registration mechanisms, and development strategies for Uzbekistan’s regions.
The importance of joint efforts in innovative energy projects was emphasized, along with plans to open new branches of Russian higher education institutions and to launch an MISiS engineering school in Uzbekistan. The meeting, held in a spirit of mutual trust and openness, reaffirmed the commitment of both parties to practical cooperation.
“I express my sincere gratitude to the Russian side for its hospitality,” Mirziyoyeva added.
It is worth noting that during the Uzbek delegation's visit to Moscow on May 28, Saida Mirziyoyeva also held meetings with Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Anton Vaino, his first deputies Sergey Kiriyenko and Alexey Gromov, and Assistant to the President of Russia Vladimir Medinsky. On the same day, the Press Secretary of the President of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Asadov, met with Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration and Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
