17729On December 30, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, visited Palestinian children evacuated to Uzbekistan. She shared details of the visit on her Telegram channel.
“On New Year's Eve, I received news from Palestinian children undergoing treatment in our country. I conveyed the greetings and best wishes of our President. It is truly amazing that, despite all these difficulties, they have preserved innocence and the desire for a miracle in their hearts. I hope that words of attention and kindness will inspire confidence in their hearts for a bright future. We wish them and the suffering Palestinian people peace and prosperity,” Mirziyoyeva wrote.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had previously announced Uzbekistan’s readiness to provide medical care for Palestinian children and women injured in the war. This commitment was made during his speech at an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit on November 11.
Following the President’s announcement, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Deputy Minister of Health for Children and Women's Affairs Elmira Bositkhanova, who confirmed that Uzbekistan’s healthcare system is prepared to treat the evacuated children.
On December 27, 100 wounded Palestinian children and women, along with their companions, were transported to Uzbekistan. Ambassador Mansurbek Kilichev stated that the evacuated Palestinians would be accommodated in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, receiving comprehensive care during their stay. Their needs, including housing, education, and food, will be fully met until they return to their homeland.
