In view of the relevance of international money transfers to the population, commercial banks are taking the necessary measures to ensure their smooth operation in Uzbekistan. This was stated in the Central Bank’s report on cross-border money transfer activities, between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the report, this situation has led to temporary interruptions or errors in the activities of some international money transferring operators.

There are many transaction systems from the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, and in some cases it is possible to use a different alternative in case of disruption.

"In view of the importance of international money transfers to the people, commercial banks are taking the necessary measures to ensure their smooth operation in the country”, the report said.

According to migrant workers from Central Asian countries such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, who are working among Russia’s vast borders, the ruble is depreciating against the dollar in Russia due to the threat of war.  Money transactions are also significantly lower than before.
