Two police officers who abandoned an Uzbek migrant in a forest in the Moscow region of Russia will face trial, according to "Mash."

In May of this year, law enforcement officials apprehended a 45-year-old migrant who was intoxicated and left him in a forest between the villages of Dubrovo and Zagryajskaya to sober up. The officers did not return to retrieve him, and he became lost in the forest.

The migrant's relatives searched for him, and his remains were discovered in September, having been partially consumed by animals.

According to the publication, the junior lieutenant and senior sergeant who last saw the victim have been apprehended.

"The police officers are expected to face charges of dismissal and abuse of authority," the report stated.

We also remind you that a criminal case was previously initiated against an Uzbek driver involved in a traffic accident with a six-year-old girl in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, Russia, under charges of sexual violence.
