In response, the representative office of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan in Russia has issued an official statement.
According to the agency, an investigation was conducted to verify the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The report confirmed that on May 15 of this year, a foreign national waiting in line to receive documentation at the Sakharovo center suddenly felt unwell and suffered a heart attack. Despite receiving medical assistance on site, the individual passed away.
Following official verification, it was established that the deceased was a citizen of Tajikistan. This information was confirmed by Tajik authorities in Russia.
The relevant Russian law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a legal investigation into the incident.
It should be noted that this comes amid increased scrutiny of migrant treatment in Russia. Earlier, reports emerged that migrants had been violently beaten by security forces in a café in Moscow.
