Uzbek citizen drowns in Russia while taking a selfie

A tragic incident occurred in Russia where an Uzbek citizen drowned while attempting to take a selfie, according to a report by "78.ru".

The incident took place on July 12 around 21:00. A 55-year-old Uzbek national, who was consuming alcohol on the banks of the Volkhov River, attempted to take a photo with his mobile phone. He stumbled and fell into the river, subsequently drowning.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene and retrieved the body, handing it over to the police. An examination of the body revealed no signs of foul play.

It is noteworthy that earlier, two Uzbek citizens drowned in Russia's Irkutsk region.
