14 children left without parental care in Russia returned to Uzbekistan

On January 27, as part of an official service mission to return minors left without parental care in the territory of the Russian Federation, 14 minors were brought to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the joint efforts of staff from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the National Agency for Social Protection.
It was noted that the children arrived in Uzbekistan via the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport. In accordance with established procedures, they were temporarily placed at the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors under the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent City.
Following the completion of necessary documentation and relevant procedures, 13 children were handed over to their parents who had arrived to receive them, in accordance with established procedures. One child was sent to Andijan City accompanied by staff of the center and will be transferred to his or her mother in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
Social support and social accompaniment services for the minors will continue at their subsequent places of residence through the “Inson” Social Services Centers.
It is worth noting that earlier, Uzbek citizens who had found themselves in difficult circumstances were repatriated through the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland.
