Mother and daughter detained in Russia returned to Uzbekistan

On February 17, a woman and her daughter who had violated migration laws in the Russian city of Novosibirsk were returned to Uzbekistan, Dunya reported.
According to the report, the young mother was detained by law enforcement agencies in Novosibirsk for violating Russia’s migration regulations and was placed in a temporary detention center for foreign nationals. During this time, her daughter was staying at a family and child support center in Novosibirsk.
As a result of efforts by diplomats from the Consulate General, all necessary documents for the child were obtained. On February 17, consular staff escorted the girl to Novosibirsk International Airport, where she was reunited with her mother. On the same day, the mother and child were returned to Uzbekistan on the Novosibirsk–Fergana flight.
Earlier, it was reported that a charter flight carrying 21 Uzbek citizens arrived at Tashkent International Airport from Sweden.
