A delegation of representatives from several ministries has traveled to the Russian Federation to repatriate children of Uzbek citizens who have been left without parental care abroad. This mission is being facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the National Social Protection Agency.
It was reported that the National Social Protection Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Uzbekistan’s consular offices are working together to formalize documentation for 30 children left without parental care. These children are located in cities such as Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Irkutsk, Chelyabinsk, Vladivostok, and Ulyanovsk, as well as in the regions of Moscow, Leningrad, Oryol, Smolensk, and Vladimir.
“The Social Service Centers at the permanent registration locations of the underage children are taking measures to reintegrate the returning children into a family environment,” the report stated.
As a reminder, earlier, with the help of Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Novosibirsk, a mother and her four children in a difficult situation in the city of Neryungri, Sakha Republic, Russia, were returned to Uzbekistan.
