The Security Councils of Russia and Uzbekistan sign a cooperation plan

The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Nikolay Patrushev, held a practical meeting with the Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Viktor Makhmudov. This was reported by the press service of the Security Council of Russia.


It is noted that during the negotiations, the officials discussed the priorities of cooperation in the field of security between Russia and Uzbekistan.


At the end of the meeting, a cooperation plan for 2024-2025 was signed between the security councils of the two countries.


For information, on November 8th, the secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states gathered in Moscow for their annual meeting. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Patrushev, represented Russia at the event.


At the meeting, the current problems of ensuring regional security in the CIS area, as well as practical cooperation among the countries in the field of security in bilateral and multilateral formats, will be discussed.


The annual meeting of the secretaries of the Commonwealth member states of the Security Council is being held for the 11th time. The first one was held in November 2022 in Moscow.
