Official: Abbosbek Fayzullayev joins “Başakşehir”

Abbosbek Fayzullayev, a member of the Uzbekistan national team and former player of the Russian club CSKA Moscow, has officially transferred to the Istanbul-based club “Başakşehir.” The announcement was made on the club’s official social media accounts.
According to the statement, the 21-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the Turkish side.
“A five-year contract has been signed with Uzbekistan national team player Abbosbek Fayzullayev, who previously played for the Russian club CSKA. We welcome Fayzullayev to our family and wish him great success at our club,” the club said in its statement.
It was reported that the transfer fee amounted to €7 million.
For reference, the 21-year-old played in 39 matches this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists.
It should be noted that it was previously reported that 29-year-old Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov also joined Başakşehir from the Italian club AS Roma. Shomurodov was loaned until the end of the 2025–2026 season, with an option to buy.
