19145Today, on August 1, a court session on the case of blogger Abduqodir Mominov was held at the Mirabad District Court of Tashkent. Media workers who participated in the court session informed about this.
It is noted that the prosecutor asked the judge to sentence the blogger to 3 years of restriction of journalistic activity and 11 years of imprisonment.
For information, blogger Abduqadir Mominov of the Criminal Code, Article 141-1 (violation of privacy), part 2, paragraphs “a”, “b”, Article 165 (extortion), part 3, paragraph “a”, 168 - article (fraud) part 3, points “b”, “v”, part 4, part “a”, part 1 of article 189 (violation of trade or service rules) and article 28,211 (participation in bribery) He is accused of having committed the crimes provided for in paragraph “a” of part 3.
According to the confirmed indictment, there are 14 victims of this criminal case, and it was determined that they suffered material damage in the amount of 903 million 421 thousand 567.5 soums as a result of the crime.
We remind you that in February of this year, the citizen E.Z. submitted a petition and asked to take legal measures against the actions of a person named Abduqodir Mominov, who is engaged in blogging.
After that, a criminal case was initiated against Mominov under Article 168 (Fraud), Article 165 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code, and he was detained in procedural order.
Later, social networks reported that blogger Abduqadir Mominov was tortured to death during the investigation. However, Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General, informed KALAMPIR.UZ that the reports that Mominov died during the investigation were not true. Several journalists were not included in the court held on July 25 of this year.
