An additional thousand modern buses will be purchased for the city of Tashkent. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev mentioned this in his address to the chambers of the Oliy Majlis today, 20 December.
According to him, the situation with public transport will change completely.
"An additional thousand modern buses will be purchased for the city of Tashkent, and 7 underground metro stations will be launched. Due to this, more than 500,000 residents and guests of the capital will be provided with additional amenities every day," said the head of state.
To improve the quality of passenger transportation in the regions, another thousand buses will be launched.
In this way, 1 million residents of 300 neighborhoods, where the situation in terms of public transport is difficult, will be closer.
