The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has introduced a new initiative aimed at boosting the number of high-income enterprises within the country. He discussed this initiative today, August 18, during an open dialogue with business leaders.

It has been reported that, in collaboration with international consultants, 140 fully developed projects have been formulated spanning various sectors such as electrical engineering, textiles, leather goods, footwear, jewelry, construction materials, furniture, polymers, chemicals, and the food industry.

The presentation of these "140 advanced industrial enterprises" was also made to the participating business representatives during today's open dialogue.

The cumulative value of these projects is estimated at 10 billion dollars, with projections indicating the potential creation of 60 thousand jobs, the production of goods valued at 5 billion dollars, and an anticipated export value of 2.5 billion dollars. These 140 projects are accessible on an electronic platform and are offered to entrepreneurs under transparent terms.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev called upon entrepreneurs to actively engage in this program. It was emphasized that if they express interest, contracts can be promptly established, concurrently addressing factors such as location, funding, and necessary infrastructure.

As per reports, enterprises participating in the program will have access to low-interest loans for a duration of 10 years, with funding sourced from the Industrial Development Fund.
