President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is inspecting construction projects, living conditions, and industrial enterprises in Tashkent today, July 10. The visit was announced by the press service of the President.
As part of the visit, the President toured Bunyodkor Street, which links the Shaykhantohur and Chilonzor districts of the capital. This central street, known for its cultural venues, office buildings, apartment complexes, supermarkets, and restaurants, has recently been transformed into a 1.5-kilometer-long service and gastrotourism hub.

Together with members of the public, the Head of State examined the improvements made along the street.
“The entire road has been landscaped. Magnificent landscape design, fountains, and decorative lighting have enhanced the beauty of the area. All necessary amenities have been created for walking, dining, and meaningful recreation,” the official report states.
To support this transformation, 90 business entities have shifted to a 24-hour operating model, 45 of which are newly established. These businesses have created employment for 500 people.

It is noted that approximately 18,000 residents live in the Kamalon, Yangi Kamalon, and Kamalon Darvoza neighborhoods located near the street. These developments have directly improved their quality of life. In addition, the number of annual visitors to the area has reached 255,000. With current enhancements, this number is expected to rise to 1 million.
According to the report, more than 2,000 new entrepreneurs have entered Uzbekistan’s tourism sector in recent years. In 2023, the number of foreign tourists exceeded 10 million for the first time. Travel and service infrastructure across the regions is expanding rapidly, with growing support for tourist villages, guest houses, and gastronomic streets.

Similar vibrant streets have been developed in the Mirabad, Almazar, Chilonzor, Yakkasaroy, and Yangihayot districts of Tashkent. Bunyodkor Street is now part of this emerging tourism ring. Overall, it is planned to convert 26 streets in Tashkent into 24-hour service zones and to increase the number of round-the-clock retail outlets by 1,000.
During the visit, a presentation was also held showcasing modern bus stops and parking facilities.
