9135Today 17 October, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of construction projects.
The first of them was about the Olympic town. This complex is intended to host the Asian Youth Games in 2025. Following this, the construction of the Olympic stadium, indoor and outdoor complexes, water sports and rowing pools, and training areas that meet the requirements of international sports federations have been designed.
In this evening's presentation, the organizational and financial aspects of this large project were considered. In this regard, the officials gave information about the offers of foreign companies and the schedules of delivery of construction materials and sports equipment.
Along with the construction of the Olympic town, the president paid special attention to the issue of its effective use.
"First of all, it is necessary to plan the work, build a high-quality complex, and hold the Asian Games at a high level. Another important issue is how to use this town later. Therefore, after the competition, it is necessary to turn this place into an institution that trains both coaches and athletes. The Ministry of Sports Development and federations can also be accommodated in administrative buildings. Then there will be a whole sports atmosphere here. Along with the construction of sports facilities for our youth, it is necessary to develop the methodology," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The project of tourism development in the Parkent district was also displayed at the presentation.
This was stated at the session of the Tashkent Regional Council of People's Deputies on 22 September of this year. The president emphasized that the tourism potential in the region is very high and gave instructions on how to use it in the districts.
Accordingly, "The golden ring of Tashkent region" connecting Zangiota, Chinoz, Ohangaron, Angren, Parkent, and Bostonliq districts is being established. For example, in the Parkent district, there are many recreation centers around the villages of Kumushkon, Zarkent, and Sokhok. However, services have not been developed due to insufficient infrastructure.
Therefore, a separate master plan was developed in this regard. According to him, the roads leading to the tourism area in Parkent will be improved, and the capacity of electricity and drinking water networks will be increased. Water will be pumped out to neglected hillocks, and shade-cool places will be increased. In general, the infrastructure is built by the state, and promising areas for tourism are put up for auction.
The head of state emphasized that this is both an economic and a social project, and proposed the creation of a management company to systematically carry out infrastructure construction.
At the presentation, plans to expand the conditions for pilgrims at the Hakim al-Tirmizi mausoleum in the Surkhandarya region were also discussed.
