6684Today, 31 October, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals on the effective use of energy resources.
It is noted that the head of state had given instructions about this a week ago at a meeting in preparation for the autumn-winter season. Based on this, measures have been developed to save fuel and energy resources and deliver them in a timely manner in the autumn-winter season.
It is known that as economic sectors develop and the standard of living improves, the demand for energy also increases. In the last five years, the consumption of electricity in the country has increased by 20%, including consumption by the population by 31%. This indicator is growing by 6 percent per year.
Therefore, energy production is constantly being developed, in addition to this, water, solar, and wind power plants are being built. At the same time, the electricity and natural gas consumption calculation system was also regulated. The important task now is to appreciate, save and use this treasure.
In the presentation, the officials presented the proposals in this regard. In particular, it was said that it is possible to reduce the use of natural gas and electricity by 10% due to the optimization of work processes in industrial enterprises, modernization of energy production technology, renewal, and repair of boiler houses, and renewable energy sources.
The head of state noted that this issue is becoming more relevant every year, therefore, it is necessary to learn to save energy in all sectors and regions. This ultimately serves to provide our people with continuous and stable energy sources.
Today there is a shortage of energy resources in the world. Therefore, in many countries, measures are being taken to save energy consumption and moderate the heat temperature in people's homes.
Positive experiences in this regard are becoming popular in the country. For example, in Namangan and Syrdarya regions, 50 thousand kilowatt-hours or 14 percent of electricity is saved in one week due to the rational use of street lighting systems.
Therefore, officials were tasked with going to the regions to look for additional opportunities to save energy.
The importance of increasing energy efficiency in social sector institutions and expanding the use of solar panels was emphasized.
Tasks have been set to strengthen the powers of the Control Inspection in Electric Power and the Control Inspection of Oil Products and Gas Use under the Ministry of Energy and to take effective measures against illegal situations.
