President visits special exhibition and meets active young people

Today, June 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with active and aspiring young people of the country at a special exhibition organized at the Olympic Village on the occasion of Youth Day. The presidential press service reported this.

It was noted that the head of state familiarized himself with their projects in areas such as mahalla life, ecology, startups, engineering and promoting a culture of reading, and personally spoke with the project initiators.

Islombek Muhammadjonov, youth leader of Obod mahalla in Fergana district, said that through the Obod Ta’lim educational center he established in his mahalla, he trained 600 peers in modern professions and foreign languages. He said he had managed to expand his activities into the global market based on international contracts with prestigious German companies. Thanks to this practical effort, the mahalla has become free of youth unemployment and crime.

The initiatives of Gulira’no Mamirova, coordinator of the Yashil Tashabbuslar Foundation and a master’s student at Green University, were also noted. Her work on launching ecological, social and green innovation startups drew special attention from the head of state.

The President highly appreciated the creative aspirations of Odinakhon Ma’murjonova, winner of the “Most original idea” nomination in a painting competition, as well as the determination of Chinora G‘ulomova, who, despite having a physical disability, is implementing the O‘qi va Yuksal project for children studying at home. Officials were instructed to systematically support their initiatives aimed at strengthening an inclusive environment in society.

The startup, entrepreneurship and vocational sections of the exhibition showcased the intellectual potential of young people capable of competing internationally.

Asilbek Ashurov, a graduate of the Presidential School and student at the University of Chicago, founded the Makon AI startup at the age of 18 and created an artificial intelligence-based platform for preparing for SAT and AP tests. He said the startup currently has more than 100,000 customers in the United States, the Middle East and North Africa, has attracted $380,000 in investment and is valued at $3 million.

The achievements of Sardorbek Rahmatulloyev, the first Uzbek participant in Y Combinator, one of the world’s leading accelerators, were also recognized as an achievement of the national startup ecosystem. He founded a startup in the United States with annual revenue of many thousands of dollars and gained experience at Meta Superintelligence.

The President emphasized that the broad introduction of such high-tech projects in the country and support for young entrepreneurs in entering foreign markets will remain a priority of state policy.

As part of presentations in engineering and innovation, students’ achievements in artificial intelligence and robotics were reviewed.

Biloliddin Ismoilov, a student at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and national champion in drone racing, said he is participating in the creation and improvement of local anti-drone systems.

The successful project by Ayzada Asanova, a student at Nukus State Technical University and resident of the Nukus Youth Technopark, in the field of new-generation vehicles shows that engineering schools are also developing rapidly in the regions. The head of state noted the need to introduce these innovative developments in various sectors.

The achievements of the younger generation in the cultural and educational sphere, as well as in promoting a culture of reading, were also among the main topics of the meeting.

It was noted that the achievements of Nigina Fakhriddinova, winner of international beauty and art competitions, and young musician Amina Avazova are helping increase the international prestige of national culture.

At the same time, digital projects aimed at widely promoting reading among the population were presented. It was emphasized that the mobile application created by Sirojiddin Olimov, head of the Mutolaa project, has been downloaded nearly 5 million times, while the number of books read through it has exceeded 18 million.

Nilufar Ergasheva, winner of the Zulfiya State Prize, is the author of the book Yashil So‘z and a participant in the So‘z project. She proposed developing literary tourism by creating a literary map of Uzbekistan and organizing major artistic concert programs, such as large poetry and music evenings featuring Uzbek creators, at the Burhaniddin Marg‘inoniy scientific, educational and tourism complex.

During the sincere conversation with young people, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev supported the promising projects and initiatives put forward by them.
