14252Last year, Azerbaijani singer and businessman Emin Agalarov expressed his intention to establish the "Sea Breeze Uzbekistan" international tourism center along the shores of Chorvoq Reservoir in Bustonlik district, Tashkent region. On April 14, 2025, he presented the master plan of the project to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to the President’s press service.
"Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate continues to attract innovative ideas and new ventures. In recent years, over 2,000 new entrepreneurs have started businesses in the tourism industry. Last year, foreign tourist arrivals exceeded 10 million for the first time. In Bustonlik district alone, resorts like Amirsoy, "Ugam River," and tourism hubs such as "Beldirsoy-Chimyon-Nanay" have been developed," the statement emphasized.
This rapid growth has drawn the interest of foreign investors. Among them is the "Sea Breeze Uzbekistan" project near the Chorvoq Reservoir, a multi-phase development involving several international companies. During the presentation, a master plan for the large-scale project was reviewed, detailing plans to divide the tourism center into ten smaller zones. Each zone will include pedestrian-friendly entertainment areas and services. A bridge will connect the two shores to enhance accessibility for visitors.
The waterfront will feature promenades, beaches, and recreational areas, while the hillside will host hotels, cottages, houses, restaurants, and amphitheaters. Additionally, cultural, educational, medical, and sports facilities will be constructed, creating a space not only for tourism but also for year-round living opportunities.
President Mirziyoyev highlighted the importance of ensuring convenience for all visitors and instructed the relevant authorities to provide the necessary infrastructure for the center.
Emin Agalarov, also known as the former son-in-law of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, was married to Leyla Aliyeva from 2006 to 2015, and they share three children. Beyond his career as a singer, Agalarov serves as Vice President of the Agalarov Development Company.
