Amid growing global threats targeting the minds of young people, leaders at all levels must transition to a new system of working with youth, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said on February 24 during a meeting with young people at the Kuksaroy residence.
“It fills us with pride that Uzbekistan has been recognized as the fastest-improving country in the Youth Development Global Index,” the President said.
It was noted that this year Tashkent will host the headquarters of the World Youth Movement for Peace. In addition, Samarkand has been announced as the host city for the 12th Global Conference of Youth Parliament Members, the “Take Off” international startup summit, and the 46th World Chess Olympiad.
“Of course, a leader who seeks to introduce new methodologies and innovations, improve the quality of education, and help children become true masters of their professions will see change in their performance and bring a new atmosphere to their work,” the head of state said.
Earlier, it was reported that more than 60,000 young representatives are participating in the President’s meeting through studios set up in Karakalpakstan, the regions, and the city of Tashkent.
