11725As we previously reported, the well-known cultural figure, chairman of the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev died yesterday, 14 February, at 72 years old. In this regard, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Norboyeva, Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nurdinjon Ismailov, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Minister of Culture and Tourism Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Hero of Uzbekistan Munojat Yolchiyeva expressed their condolences. .
The text of the condolence message was distributed by the Uzbekistan News Agency. It read:
“Bakhtiyar Sayfullayev was born on 1 April 1951 in the city of Tashkent. After graduating from high school, he graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Theater and Fine Arts (now the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan) majoring in drama theater and film acting. He started his career in 1972 as an actor and director of the Republican Theater of Young Audiences. Later, he worked as a senior teacher, deputy dean of the faculty, and dean of the Tashkent Institute of Culture. After defending the nomination, he continued his teaching career at the Tashkent State Institute of Culture.
During his career, Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev became known as a skilled director of mass cultural events on the scale of the republic. In 2005-2020, he worked effectively in responsible positions such as the first deputy minister of culture, the minister of culture, strengthening the spiritual foundations of our independence, implementing large-scale reforms in the field, and raising the development of our national culture and art to a new level. He worked diligently.
In 2012-2020, Professor Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev served as the rector of the State Institute of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan and the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, and made a worthy contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel in our country and the education of the young generation in the spirit of love and loyalty to the Motherland.
From 2020, B.Saifullayev has been working as the chairman of the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and was involved in the implementation of culture and youth policy in our country, the development of the field of physical education and sports, and the strengthening of the legal framework related to these areas. He consistently showed his rich knowledge and experience.
B. Saifullayev’s services to the development of Uzbek culture and art were duly awarded by our state. He was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the Order of “Labour Glory” and the title of “Artist of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”.
The memory of Bakhtiyar Saifullayev, a well-known cultural figure, a kind teacher of young people, a humble and sincere person, will always remain in our hearts.”
