Mirziyoyev extends condolences to Biden over new Orleans attack

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a letter of condolence to U.S. President Joseph Biden in response to the terrorist attack in New Orleans that claimed numerous lives. The news was shared by the Presidential Press Secretary, Sherzod Asadov.
"On behalf of the people of Uzbekistan, the Head of State extends his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to the entire American nation. He also wishes a swift recovery to those injured," Asadov stated.
The incident occurred on January 1 at approximately 3:15 a.m. local time, when a truck driver plowed into a crowd celebrating at the intersection of Bourbon and Iberville streets in New Orleans. The attack resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people and left dozens injured.
