The President criticizes the failure to conserve electricity in 8 regions and the capital

8 regions of the republic and the city of Tashkent have not implemented the plan to save electricity.  This was announced today, August 11, at a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Bukhara.

It is noted that the importance of saving energy resources in the world is increasing more and more.  That is why Uzbekistan has made great strides in the development of “green energy” and the widespread introduction of energy-saving technologies into the economy.

At the meeting, it was said that studies are being conducted in April in each district and city in order to fully cover the deficit in energy supply.  On this basis, regional programs for saving 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas and 7.5 billion kilowatt hours of electricity were adopted.

“In many regions and sectors, there has not yet been a significant result, and their leaders have abandoned these tasks, saying that there is no demand,” said the head of state.

In particular, it was reported that Tashkent region consumed 40 million cubic meters, Tashkent city 19 million, Samarkand 13 million, and Khorezm 3.5 million cubic meters more than the plan.

In addition, it was pointed out at the meeting that not a single district of Andijan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Namangan, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Tashkent region, Fergana and Tashkent city has implemented the energy saving plan and that the leaders of the energy complex are not able to systematically organize these things.  .

Let us remind you that in the video selector chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was decided to extend the lease period of 73,000 hectares of land in Bukhara, Kashkadarya and Namangan regions for 10 years at the initial stage for 30 years.  Also, at the meeting, the head of state criticized the fact that 94 districts and cities in Uzbekistan are unable to fully satisfy the needs of their residents for potatoes.
