Salary Increase for Teaching Staff

QALAMPIR.UZ has contacted several ministries mentioned in a document to verify its authenticity after a copy of the document showing the salary increase for pedagogues and managers in Uzbekistan from 1st of May of this year surfaced on the internet.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism's press service confirmed the accuracy of the information in this document.  The Ministry of School and Pre-school Education's press service acknowledged that the information in the document implements the decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, but did not provide specific details regarding the salary amounts mentioned.  According to the announced decision, effective from the 1st of May this year, the basic rates for teachers and managers in pre-school and school education departments, have been approved.  The increased basic rates and salary amounts can be found in the list provided.  In late May of this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to increase wages, pensions, and allowances.  The decree stipulates that from the 1st of May 2023, the expenses related to salary increases for employees of budget organizations, as well as pensions, will be covered by the budget funds allocated for scholarships, allowances, pensions, and the State budget under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
