In the quarter-finals of the team program at the ongoing Olympic judo competitions in Paris, the Uzbek judokas lost to Italy with a score of 4:2.
Initially, despite Murodjon Yuldoshev's victory in the -73 kg weight category and Gulnoza Matniyozova's win in the women's competition, the four Uzbek representatives who competed later lost their chances.
Despite the loss, the Uzbek judo team still has a chance to fight for a bronze medal at the Olympics. They will compete against South Korean athletes in the repechage round.
