Ilgiz Tantashev, a FIFA referee from Uzbekistan, will officiate a match during the group stage of the Olympic Games. This was reported by the press service of the Football Association of Uzbekistan.
According to the source, the team led by Tantashev will officiate the match between hosts France and Guinea. Tantashev will be assisted by compatriots Andrey Tsapenko and Temur Gaynullin as assistant referees.
France, which is in Group A, defeated the USA in the 1st round. If the "Les Bleus" defeat Guinea, they will advance to the quarter-finals ahead of schedule.
The match will start on July 28 at 00:00 Tashkent time.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that the Olympic team of Uzbekistan will play against Egypt in the 2nd round.
