Uzbekistan’s pilaf index: January 2025 prices revealed

In January 2025, the cheapest pilaf in Uzbekistan was found in the Namangan region, where one serving cost 23,000 soums, according to the Statistics Agency.

Meanwhile, the most expensive pilaf was recorded in Tashkent, with one serving priced at 35,700 soums. Following Tashkent, high prices were noted in Bukhara (33,900 soums) and Khorezm (31,900 soums).

The average price of one serving of pilaf across Uzbekistan's regional food centers is as follows:

  • Republic of Karakalpakstan – 26,100 sums
  • Andijan region – 31,200 sums
  • Bukhara region – 33,900 sums
  • Jizzakh region – 28,800 sums
  • Kashkadarya region – 30,700 sums
  • Navoi region – 26,800 sums
  • Namangan region – 23,000 sums
  • Samarkand region – 30,500 sums
  • Surkhandarya region – 29,200 sums
  • Syrdarya region – 25,700 sums
  • Tashkent region – 27,300 sums
  • Fergana region – 26,600 sums
  • Khorezm region – 31,900 sums
  • Tashkent city – 35,700 sums

It is worth noting that in December 2024, Namangan also had the cheapest pilaf, with one serving priced at 22,200 soums at that time.
