December 2024 pilaf price survey: Namangan leads with the lowest cost

2824In December 2024, the cheapest pilaf in Uzbekistan was sold in the Namangan region, with a single serving priced at 22,200 sums. This was reported by the Statistics Agency.
In contrast, the most expensive pilaf was found in Tashkent, where one serving cost 35,700 sums. Other regions with high pilaf prices include Bukhara, where it cost 30,200 sums, and Andijan, where a serving was sold for 33,700 sums.
The average prices of one serving of pilaf in regional soup centers, recorded by the Statistics Agency, are as follows:
- Republic of Karakalpakstan – 25,700 soums
- Andijan region – 31,200 sums
- Bukhara region – 33,700 sums
- Jizzakh region – 28,800 sums
- Kashkadarya region – 30,700 sums
- Navoi region – 26,800 sums
- Namangan region – 22,200 sums
- Samarkand region – 30,500 sums
- Surkhandarya region – 28,600 sums
- Syrdarya region – 25,700 sums
- Tashkent region – 27,300 sums
- Fergana region – 26,600 sums
- Khorezm region – 30,900 sums
- Tashkent city – 35,700 sums
It should be noted that these prices were recorded by the price registrar at the time and place of the observation, and may vary depending on the time and location. Only average prices from selected catering establishments (Osh centers) were included, excluding restaurants and teahouses.
For comparison, in November 2024, the cheapest pilaf was sold in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where a serving cost 25,700 sums.
