Online gambling has bankrupted two Khorezms

Two men lost 160 million soms through online gambling in Hazorasp district of Khorezm region.  This was reported by the Cyber Security Center.

It is noted that they applied to the Department of Internal Affairs after losing at gambling.

At first, the pair went to a rented building in the “Workers” neighborhood of the district to play online risk-based games where they met two citizens.  Shortly after, these two persons promised to win a large amount of money for the victims.  In the first game they returned the money along with a profit of 5 million soms.  The second time, 160 million soms of their money was taken and used to gamble, they were told, they would benefit to a large degree.  However, the money was lost and the citizens disappeared.

According to the conducted search operations, it was determined that the persons who organized risk-based online gambling games and lost money were A.U. and S.V., living in the Hazorasp district of Khorezm region.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated against the defendants under Article 278-1 of the Criminal Code, and investigations were conducted.
