Jealous rage ends in murder in Almalik

In Almalik city, Tashkent region, a woman fatally stabbed her acquaintance five times out of jealousy. The incident, which occurred during the autumn of last year, was reported by Supreme Court spokesperson Aziz Obidov.
According to court proceedings, the 1974-born woman, in a state of intoxication, attacked the man with a knife after becoming jealous of another woman. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Court documents revealed that the two individuals had a history of frequent arguments.
The Almalik City Criminal Court found the woman guilty of intentional murder under Article 97 of the Criminal Code. She was sentenced to eight years in prison.
In a separate case in the Fergana region, a man killed his wife after dreaming that she had been unfaithful to him.
