The mayor of Ohangaron resigned voluntarily

The mayor of Ohangaron, Akrom Joraevich Eshonqulov, resigned today, February 6, from his position voluntarily. He made the announcement on the city administration's social media page.

While he didn't specify the exact reason for his resignation, Mayor Eshonqulov expressed gratitude for his time in Ohangaron, stating that every moment there had left a lasting impression on him.

In his farewell message, Eshonqulov expressed deep affection for Ohangaron, likening it to his hometown, and acknowledged the incomparable contributions of the city's residents to its development. He also offered apologies if anyone had been offended during his tenure.

Born on February 16, 1976, in Quyi Chirchik district of Tashkent region, Eshonqulov holds degrees from the Georgy Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics and Tashkent State University of Economics, specializing in economics.

Prior to serving as mayor, he held positions such as temporary chief specialist for complex socio-economic development in Olmaliq city within the department of socio-economic development of Uzbekistan's cities.

Eshonqulov had been the mayor of Ohangaron since June 4, 2020.
