Numan Kurtulmuş conveys Erdogan's regards to Mirziyoyev

On May 22, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, welcomed a delegation led by Numan Kurtulmuş, the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, who was on an official visit. This information was reported by the President's press service.

At the start of the meeting, the Chairman of the Turkish Parliament extended the warm greetings and best wishes of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Mirziyoyev.

The discussion centered on the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral cooperation, noting the ongoing active dialogue and exchanges at various levels.

The report highlighted the growing indicators of mutual trade and investment, an increase in joint projects and enterprises, and the expansion of air travel. Additionally, joint cultural events are being held in both countries.

Effective relations have been established between the legislative bodies of Uzbekistan and Turkey. The report emphasized the importance of the active involvement of friendship groups and relevant committees in enhancing inter-parliamentary relations, shaping the agenda for Uzbekistan-Turkey cooperation, and overseeing the implementation of high-level agreements.

Special attention was given to the promotion of investment programs, tourism, business, and educational exchanges. The prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation within international frameworks, particularly the Organization of Turkic States, were also discussed.

Earlier this month, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz visited Uzbekistan and was received by President Mirziyoyev.
